Assin Manso Senior High School, STEM Club Emerges Victorious in FIRST LEGO LEAGUE NATIONAL ROBOTICS COMPETION 2023/2024 SEASON.


Introduction: Assin Manso Senior High School (SHS) has achieved a remarkable feat in the field of robotics by emerging as the winner in a fiercely contested competition among Twenty-seven schools. The event showcased the technical expertise, creativity, and teamwork of the participating institutions, highlighting Assin Manso SHS's outstanding performance.

Competition Overview:

The robotic games competition brought together twenty-seven schools from various regions, each vying for the prestigious title. 19 Secondary Schools and 8 Basic Schools from various Regions in Ghana. Six (6) Secondary Schools from Central Region:

  •   Wesley Girls School
  •      Mfantsiman Girls School
  •     Mfantsipim school
  •     St. Augustine’s College
  •     Adisadel College and
  •     Assin Manso SHS

  Teams were tasked with designing, building, and programming robots to compete in a series of challenges that tested their innovation, problem-solving abilities, and agility.

  •   Hon. John Ntim Fordjour (Deputy Minister for Education)
  •   Prof. Effah Kaufman (National Science and Math Quiz Mistress)
  •  Nana Afrah Sika Mensah (Deputy Coordinator for FREE SHS)

Assin Manso SHS's Journey to Victory: From the outset, Assin Manso SHS demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, setting themselves apart from the competition. Their robot navigated through obstacles with ease, executed tasks flawlessly, and showcased innovative solutions to complex challenges. Led by dedicated teachers and fueled by the Headmaster, Mr. Eric Nyarko.

 In the climactic final rounds, Assin Manso SHS showcased their mastery of robotics with a stellar performance that left their competitors in awe.
